My very first travel experience was taking a flight in a twin-engine plane with my father, flying over Long Island when I was about 5 years old. We took drives along the beautiful Hudson River in New York, witnessing the majestic mountains on our way to the Catskills to visit our friends' dairy farm. The frequent rides to Jones Beach on Long Island watching the sunset would have me wondering, "Who is out there on the other side of this ocean?". The rides on the Subway into Manhattan, and on the Staten Island Ferry to visit family members were always, to say the least, an adventure o iftself. One of my most impressionable experiences was when I went on a class trip to JFK. Entering the hangar, I gazed in awe, at those huge aircraft.
I grew up 30 minutes from and in the flight path of JFK Airport. The planes flew low enough for us to read the names on the aircraft. As kids, that was always fun. I have fond memories of The Concord, a luxury, high-speed aircraft, with service between New York and London. It would fly over several times a week. That aircraft was so powerful, that we could hearand feel the vibration before it approached, and items in the house would vibrate.
I have had the blessing of travelling to many places in the world. My passion s to help others have wonderful and fulfilling travel experiences. I believe that travel is the university in the world.
I recently had the honor of becoming a "Caregiver" for a loved one. Many Caregivers do not realize the importance of incorporating self-care into their lives. If you don't take care of yourself, you won't be able to care for others. A Wellness trip may be just what you need.
